This post is dedicated to Park Yoochun AKA Micky Yoochun, his brother Park Yuhwan and their family who made themselves ill from lack of food and water while staying vigil at their father’s funeral. He passed away from chronic illness in the early afternoon of March 14, 2012. MadDino and I will be joint recapping this mammoth effort of his. Let’s all support him in his time of grief because before he was a Rooftop Prince, he was a son.
Micky Yoochun had just gotten over the flue during the last leg of his South American Tour with JYJ when he received the news. Park Yuhwan was even sent to the hospital for a drip because of his inability to eat and lack of sleep during the vigil. He returned just after to the wake and my heart aches for both of them. They have high stress jobs and feel not only the weight of death, but the expectations of fans.
Please fans, support and don’t ask too much from them. Let them heal properly.
Fellow bandmates Kim Jaejoong and Kim Junsu stayed with Yoochun along with Song Ji-hyuo and the C-JeS staff during the vigil at St. Mary’s Funeral Hall. He really needed the support because he’s the “family mourner” as the deceased’s eldest son with many duties. Although I’m sure he’s really burdened right now, he’s holding strong for his family, colleagues and the public. Personally, I don’t mind if he takes some time ’cause things like this have a tendency to creep up on a person later.
Rooftop Prince is NOT on hiatus as a determined Micky Yoochun returned to filming on the morning March 17. Although he looked worn out, he greeted everyone properly, received support and appreciation from the other leads for returning to set so quickly.
“Producer Shin Yoon-sub spoke with Park separately and comforted the actor and thanked Park for returning to the set. After the two had spoken in private, the staff and cast resumed filming.” (Soompi)
He went all out on the first day on set and I think working will allow him to let out his grief. I still think he needs a real break, but that will come after this initial period of shock.
Micky Yoochun, HWAITING!!!

As much as I´m looking forward to watching Rooftop Prince I wouldn´t mind him taking a break. Actually I didn´t expected him to return to the set so early and I have mixed feeling about that.
I really hope he doesn’t implode. It’s almost a given with that much stress. Production should be ready to give him that time.
